Sporobolus vaseyi (also called Vasey's Sporobolus, among many other common names) is a perennial grass that grows up to 1 m in height. It is native to the western United States, and is found in dry, open woods, fields, and roadsides. Its leaves are alternate, linear, and have a sharp tip. Its flowers are greenish-brown, and its fruits are spikelets.
