Description
Sporobolus infirmus (also called Weak Dropseed, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the United States, Mexico, and Central America. It grows in dry, sandy soils, and can be found in deserts, grasslands, and disturbed areas. It has narrow, flat leaves and grows to a height of up to 2 feet.

Sporobolus infirmus has small, white flowers that are borne in clusters at the top of the stems. The seeds are small, brown and oval-shaped. The seedlings are slender and have long, narrow leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Sporobolus infirmus is a warm-season grass that is native to the southeastern United States. It is a low-growing, clump-forming grass that grows to 12-18 inches tall and spreads by rhizomes. It is best grown in full sun and well-drained soils. Propagation is by seed or division of the rhizomes. It is drought tolerant and can be used in xeriscaping.
