Description

Setaria distans (also called Bristly Foxtail, among many other common names) is an annual grass in the family Poaceae. It has a tufted habit, with a height of up to 1.2 m. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and temperate Asia. It is found in meadows, roadsides, and waste places.

Setaria distans is used as an ornamental grass, as well as for erosion control and as a food source for livestock.
