Description

Schizostachyum iraten (also called Irat Bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It is a tall, evergreen, clump-forming bamboo with arching culms and long, thin leaves. It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, as well as in disturbed areas.
