Description

Schizachyrium nodulosum (also called Nodding Bluestem, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to North America. It has a tall, upright growth habit and grows to a height of 3-5 feet. Its leaves are blue-green in color and its flowers are a silvery-white color. It is found in dry prairies, open woodlands, and savannas and is tolerant of a wide range of soil types.
