Description

Sasamorpha sinica (also called Chinese bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to Japan. It is a perennial grass, growing to a height of 1–2 m. The culms are greenish yellow to yellowish brown, and are round in cross-section. It is found in moist forests, thickets, and along streams, at altitudes of 0–1,400 m.
