Description
Sasaella sawadai (also called Sawada's bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to Japan. It is a clumping bamboo with bright green leaves and can grow up to 2 meters tall. It is found in moist forests, riverbanks, and grasslands.
Uses & Benefits
Sasaella sawadai is used as an ornamental plant in garden beds and borders. It is also used as a ground cover for slopes and banks. The leaves are used to make tea and are said to have medicinal properties.
