Description

Sacciolepis vilvoides (also called Vilvoorde Velvetseed, among many other common names) is an annual grass native to the southeastern United States. It has a tufted growth habit and grows to a height of 0.3–1.2 m (1–4 ft). Its leaves are linear and have a velvety texture. It is found in dry, sandy soils, especially in disturbed areas.
