Description
Rottboellia helferi (also called Helfer's Para Grass, among many other common names) is an annual grass that is native to India, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. It grows in moist soils in open fields, roadsides, and disturbed habitats.

Rottboellia helferi is used as an ornamental grass, for soil stabilization, and as a forage grass for livestock.

Rottboellia helferi has small, yellow flowers with four petals that are arranged in a cross-like pattern. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are small and have a single stem with two cotyledons.
Cultivation and Propagation
