Description
Polytoca gigantea (also called 'Giant polytoca' or 'Giant polytoca tree', among many other common names) is a tree native to the Caribbean and Central America. It has a greyish-brown bark and its leaves are ovate-lanceolate, with a serrated margin. It is found in dry forests, scrublands, and open areas.
Uses & Benefits
Polytoca gigantea is used as a medicinal plant to treat fever, dysentery, and skin diseases. It is also used as an ornamental plant and for its timber.
