Description
Poa howellii (also called Howell's bluegrass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the western United States. It grows in moist meadows, along streams, and in other wet areas. It has narrow, flat leaves and produces small, light blue flowers.

Poa howellii is used as an ornamental grass in gardens and parks. It is also used to stabilize soil and control erosion.
