Cultivation and Propagation

Cultivation and propagation of Piptochaetium tovarii can be done by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame and the seedlings transplanted when large enough to handle. Division can be done in spring or autumn. Larger divisions can be planted out direct into their permanent positions. We have found it best to pot up the smaller divisions and grow them on in a cold frame until they are established.
