Description

Piptochaetium medium (also called Medium Feathergrass, among many other common names) is an annual grass native to the Americas. It grows to a height of 10-30 cm and has a slender, erect stem with a few branches. The leaves are linear and flat, with a pointed tip. It is found in dry, sandy soils in open areas, such as prairies, meadows, and roadsides.

Piptochaetium medium is a perennial grass native to the Southwestern United States and Mexico. It grows in dry, sunny areas and is tolerant of drought and heat.
