Description
Piptochaetium jubatum (also called Jubate Feathergrass, among many other common names) is an annual grass native to the Americas. It grows to a height of 10-30 cm and has a slender, erect stem with a few branches. The leaves are linear and flat, with a pointed tip and a jubate surface. It is found in dry, sandy soils in open areas, such as prairies, meadows, and roadsides.

Piptochaetium jubatum has been used for erosion control, as a soil stabilizer, and as a forage grass for livestock.
