Description
Phyllostachys edulis (also called Bamboo, among many other common names) is a large, woody grass native to East Asia. It typically grows in moist, acidic soils in open woodlands, swamps, and along the edges of streams and rivers. It has long, thin, hollow stems and can reach heights of up to 30 feet.
