Panicum congoense (also called Congoense Panic Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the southeastern United States. It typically grows in dry, sandy soils and is tolerant of drought and salt. It has a clumping habit and can reach up to 3 feet in height. Its leaves are narrow and light green in color, and its flowers are small and pinkish-purple.
