Description

Panicum caudiglume (also called Caudiglumous Panicum, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Central and South America. It is a tufted grass with erect stems that can reach up to 1.2 m in height. Its leaves are linear and up to 20 cm long. It is found in open grasslands, savannas, and disturbed areas.

Uses & Benefits

Panicum caudiglume is used as a forage crop for livestock, as well as for soil conservation and erosion control. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks.
