Description
Muhlenbergia phalaroides (also called False Muhlenbergia, among many other common names) is a perennial grass with small, white flowers. It is native to the tropical regions of South America, and is found in moist, shady habitats.

Muhlenbergia phalaroides is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. It is also used in traditional medicine to treat fever, headache, and rheumatism.
