Description
Muhlenbergia frondosa (also called frond muhly, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It grows in dry, open areas, such as roadsides, and is characterized by its frond-like, green leaves and pinkish-purple inflorescences.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Muhlenbergia frondosa has small, pinkish to purplish flowers, and small, black seeds. The seedlings are small and have thin, grass-like leaves.
