Miscanthidium violaceum (also called Violet Miscanthidium, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Africa. It grows in moist meadows, grasslands, and along roadsides. It has slender, erect stems and narrow, linear leaves. The leaves are usually 2-4 cm long and 1-2 mm wide.
