Merostachys caucaiana is a perennial herb native to the Andes Mountains of Colombia. It can be propagated from seed or by division of the rhizomes. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade. It can tolerate temperatures down to -10°C (14°F) and is drought tolerant once established.
