Lolium subulatum (also called 'Annual Ryegrass', 'Subulate Ryegrass' and 'Subulate Meadow-grass', among many other common names) is an annual grass native to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It has a short, erect stem with a small panicle and narrow, pointed leaves. It is found in grasslands, meadows, and disturbed areas.
