Description
Kengyilia batalinii (also called Batalin's kengyilia, among many other common names) is a tufted perennial grass native to Eurasia. It has a short rhizome and erect culms that are typically 20–60 cm tall. It is found in grasslands, woodlands, and savannas in temperate regions.
Uses & Benefits
Kengyilia batalinii is used as a forage crop for livestock, as well as for erosion control and as a soil stabilizer. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens.

Kengyilia batalinii has small, greenish-white flowers that grow in clusters. Its seeds are small, dark brown and glossy. Its seedlings are slender and have long, narrow leaves.
