Helictochloa planiculmis (also called Flat-awned Helictochloa, among many other common names) is a plant species in the family Poaceae. It is a perennial grass, up to 1 m tall, with reddish-brown flowers. It is native to the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina. It grows in grasslands, meadows, and open woodlands.
