Description
Helictochloa aetolica (also called Aetolian Helictochloa, among many other common names) is a plant species in the family Poaceae. It is a perennial grass, up to 1 m tall, with reddish-brown flowers. It is native to the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina. It grows in grasslands, meadows, and open woodlands.

Helictochloa aetolica is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a medicinal plant for treating skin diseases.
