Description

Festuca vaginata (also called Sheath Fescue, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Central Asia. It has a tufted habit and grows up to 40 cm tall. Its leaves are blue-green in colour and have a rough texture. It prefers sunny, dry habitats and grows in rocky areas, grasslands and meadows.
