Fargesia brevissima (also called Short-stemmed Bamboo, among many other common names) is a clumping bamboo species native to China. It has a maximum height of 15 feet and a maximum diameter of 1 inch. It is found in moist forests, valleys, and hillsides at elevations of up to 8,000 feet.
