Description

Elymus uralensis (also called Ural Wild Rye, among many other common names) is a perennial grass species native to Central Asia and the Caucasus. It grows in sandy and rocky soils, and is often found in steppes, semi-deserts and alpine meadows. It has a tufted habit and can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. Its leaves are flat, narrow and have a rough texture.
