Description

Elymus magnicaespes (also called Big-spike Wildrye, among many other common names) is a perennial grass that can reach up to 1.2 m in height. It is native to North America, and is found in dry prairies, open woodlands, and disturbed areas. It has a smooth, greenish-brown stem, and its leaves are flat, alternate, and lanceolate in shape.
