Description

Dupontia fulva (also called Alpine Biting-grass, Alpine Biting-sedge, and Alpine Sand-sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial grass-like plant that grows up to 60 cm tall. It is native to the Arctic and Subarctic regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. It grows in dry, sandy, or gravelly soils in open tundra, meadows, and rocky slopes.
