Deschampsia laxa (also called Loose Hair Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Europe and Asia. It has a clumping habit and grows up to 1 meter tall. It has thin, wiry stems and narrow leaves. It prefers moist, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade and is often found in meadows, grasslands, and woodlands.
