Description
Deschampsia gracillima (also called Slender Hair-grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Europe, Asia, and North America. It grows in moist meadows, bogs, and other wet habitats.

Deschampsia gracillima is used as an ornamental grass, for erosion control, and as a soil stabilizer.

Deschampsia gracillima has small, yellow flowers and its seeds are small, black, and oval-shaped. Its seedlings have a single, oval-shaped leaf that is light green in color.
