Dendrocalamus messeri (also called Chinese Timber Bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to China and Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen, clumping bamboo with a thick culm wall. It grows in tropical and subtropical climates in lowland areas. It is found in open forests, along roadsides, and in disturbed habitats.
