Cynosurus coloratus (also called Egyptian grass, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to Africa and the Middle East. It is a perennial grass with a creeping rhizome and a short, erect culm. It is found in grasslands, savannas, and disturbed areas, and is a common weed in cultivated fields.
