Chusquea mayrae (also called Mayra's Chusquea, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Central and South America. It has long, narrow leaves and produces small, yellow flowers. It typically grows in moist, tropical climates and is found in rainforests, swamps, and along riverbanks.

Cultivation and Propagation

Chusquea mayrae is a fast-growing, evergreen grass that can reach up to 1 m in height. It is best grown in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained, sandy soil mix and kept moist until germination.
