Description

Chusquea acutigluma (also called Sharp-tipped Cane, among many other common names) is a perennial, evergreen, clump-forming bamboo native to the tropical montane forests of Mexico and Central America. It has long, slender, arching culms with small, sharply pointed leaves and small, yellowish-green flowers.

Chusquea acutigluma is used as a food source for many species of fish and amphibians. It is also used in aquariums as a decorative plant, as it is easy to care for and can provide shelter for fish and other aquatic creatures.
