Cenchrus distachyus (also called Sandbur, among many other common names) is an annual grass native to tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It grows in a variety of habitats, from sandy soils to moist soils, and can reach heights of up to 1 meter. It has long, narrow leaves and small, spiny flower heads.
