Cultivation and Propagation
Calamagrostis rigens is a perennial grass that grows up to 1 m tall. It is propagated by seed, which should be sown in a well-drained, sandy soil mix. Keep the soil moist but not wet. Germination usually takes place within 2-3 weeks. Once the seedlings are established, they can be transplanted into individual containers and grown until they are ready to be planted out in the garden.
