Bouteloua williamsii (also called Williams' Three-awn Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to North America. It grows in a variety of habitats, from dry, sandy soils to moist, clay soils. It has a tufted growth habit and its leaves are narrow and have a sharp point at the tip. Its flowers are small and yellow-green in color.
