Description

Bothriochloa saccharoides (also called sugar bluestem, among many other common names) is a perennial bunchgrass native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is a warm-season grass that grows in dry, sandy soils in open woodlands, prairies, and savannas. It has a clumping growth habit and can reach heights of up to 3 feet. Its leaves are narrow and have a blue-green hue.
