Bambusa procera (also called 'Tall Bamboo', among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to India, Nepal, and China. It is a clumping bamboo, growing up to 15 m tall with culms up to 10 cm in diameter. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and is found in tropical and subtropical regions in open forests, grasslands, and along streams.
