Description
Bambusa hirticaulis (also called Hairy-stem bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to China. It is a perennial grass that grows to a height of 1–2 m (3–6 ft). It is found in open woodlands, dry forests, and grasslands.

Bambusa hirticaulis has small, white flowers that appear in the spring. The seeds are small, black, and oval-shaped. The seedlings are thin and have bright green leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Bambusa hirticaulis is a clumping bamboo species that can reach heights of up to 15 feet. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
