Description

Bambusa dampaeana (also called Chinese Dwarf Bamboo, among many other common names) is a species of bamboo native to China. It is a small to medium-sized bamboo, growing to a height of 4–7 m (13–23 ft). It is found in forests, thickets and along streams, at elevations of 300–1,500 m (980–4,920 ft).

Cultivation and Propagation

Bambusa dampaeana is a tropical clumping bamboo native to Southeast Asia. It is best grown in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light. The plant should be grown in a well-draining, loose potting mix that is high in organic matter. Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Propagate by division or by seed.
