Avena nuda (also called Naked Oat, among many other common names) is a species of wild oat native to Europe and North Africa. It is an annual grass growing to 0.6 m (2ft) tall, with a panicle of flowers. It prefers moist soils and is found in grasslands, meadows, and disturbed areas.
