Description
Aristida torta (also called Twisted Three-awn, among many other common names) is an annual grass native to South America. It is a tufted grass with a short, erect stem, and grows to a height of 0.3-1.2 m. It is found in grasslands, savannas, and disturbed areas, and is widely distributed in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Aristida torta has a small, yellow-green flower with three petals. Its seeds are small, oval-shaped and reddish-brown in color. The seedlings have a single, upright stem with a tuft of narrow, grass-like leaves.
