Description
Aristida recurvata (also called Curved Three-awn, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to North America. It grows in open, dry habitats, such as prairies, meadows, and roadsides. It has a thin, upright stem with a tuft of three-forked awns at the tip. The leaves are narrow and curved.

Aristida recurvata has small, yellow-brown flowers that are borne in a spike-like inflorescence. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings have long, narrow leaves.
