Andropogon hirsutior (also called Hairy bluestem, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Poaceae family. It is native to Costa Rica and Panama. It is found in wet forests, in shady areas, and on the banks of rivers and streams.

Andropogon hirsutior is a tropical perennial plant native to the rainforests of Central and South America. It can be grown in a variety of climates, but prefers warm, humid conditions.
