Andropogon gyrans (also called Waving Bluestem, among many other common names) is a clump-forming, warm-season grass that grows up to 4 feet tall. It is native to the southeastern United States and is found in dry, sandy soils. It is a warm-season grass that grows best in full sun and is tolerant of drought and heat.
