Description

Cephalorhizum turcomanicum (also called Turkestan cephalorhizum, among many other common names) is a species of cactus native to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. It is a columnar cactus that grows up to 5 m tall and has a diameter of up to 20 cm. It grows in dry, rocky, or sandy soils in subtropical and temperate climates.
