Description
Acantholimon kokandense (also called Kokand Acantholimon, among many other common names) is a low-growing, evergreen shrub with small, grey-green leaves. It is native to Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus, and is found in dry, rocky habitats.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Acantholimon kokandense has small, white flowers that are clustered in the leaf axils. The seeds are small and black and the seedlings have small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Acantholimon kokandense is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that grows up to 10 cm tall. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is by division in spring or autumn. Cuttings can also be taken in spring.
